Star Wars for The Wall Street Journal

I was asked to illustrate characters from all three sets of trilogies. They were supposed to be fighting, but it was also meant to be a bit humorous - 2 day job! Tight, but I still had fun.

New Spot Illustrations

Here are a few spot illustrations for Our State magazine, highlighting some fun Fall activities in North Carolina. This series of spots marks my two year anniversary of working with this client - I enjoy these assignments very much and it is nice to have a business relationship with a magazine in my hometown.

Teaching in Berlin

I had the good fortune to be invited to teach a two-week digital illustration course in Berlin at BTK in August. Thank you to Rafael Alvarez for the invitation!

I met over 30 students from many countries, including Egypt, England, Holland, Taiwan, Italy, and Spain, and I was impressed with their enthusiasm and their ideas.

Here are some of the students, along with illustrator Rafa Alvarez (middle-front with black shirt) and Felix Gephardt (directly to the left of Rafa), a very talented Graffiti artist and illustrator.

And here is a small watercolor sketch I did at the Technical Museum of Berlin.

New Site

I'm going to give this new layout a try for my site and see how it feels. Let me know what you think. Meanwhile, here is a spot illustration I completed earlier today for a story about a Coast Guard rescue.
